Dodobat
A hybrid of Bat + Dodo
The Dodobat is a large, flightless avian creature, approximately 1.2 meters in height, with a stout body covered in soft, downy feathers that transition from a deep mahogany brown at the wings to a pale gray on the belly. Its head is reminiscent of the dodo, featuring a large, hooked beak and bright, inquisitive eyes, while its ears are bat-like, large and sensitive, enhancing its hearing ability. The wings are short and robust, adapted for gliding rather than sustained flight, and its legs are strong with webbed feet, ideal for foraging in marshy environments.

From the DodoReal-world basis: Feather structure providing insulation and protection in birds.
Sonic Cloak
By emitting low-frequency sounds, the Dodobat can mask its presence, making it harder for predators to locate it.
From the BatReal-world basis: Echolocation and sound masking techniques used by bats for stealth.
Habitat: The Dodobat thrives in lush, tropical wetlands and dense, subtropical forests, often found near water bodies where it can forage for food while also being sheltered from predators. Diet: The Dodobat is an omnivore, primarily feeding on fruits, seeds, and aquatic plants, complemented by small insects and crustaceans. It uses its beak to dig through mud and leaves to uncover hidden food sources.
