Crowdodo
A hybrid of Crow + Dodo
The Crowdodo (Corvus dodoensis) is a large, flightless bird with a robust body, reminiscent of the extinct Dodo, characterized by its plumpness and short, stout legs. Its feathers are a glossy black with iridescent hues, similar to that of a crow, while its head features a distinctive tuft of soft, downy plumage. The beak is large and curved, well-suited for cracking nuts and seeds, resembling the dodo’s bill but sharper. The Crowdodo possesses a unique combination of vocalizations, ranging from the cawing of a crow to the cooing of a dodo, creating a hauntingly beautiful soundscape in its native habitat.

From the CrowReal-world basis: Employs wing strength and aerodynamic design to generate powerful gusts.
Dodo Defense
A defensive posture that allows the Crowdodo to absorb attacks, using its stout body and thick feathers to shield against blows.
From the DodoReal-world basis: Increased body mass and feather density provide natural protection.
Camouflage Cower
Utilizes its plumage to blend into the forest environment, reducing visibility to predators and threats.
From the DodoReal-world basis: Mimics local flora and fauna for enhanced stealth.
Habitat: The Crowdodo thrives in lush, tropical forests and dense, scrubby areas, often near water sources such as rivers and lakes, where it can find ample food and nesting materials. Its preferred environment combines elements of both terrestrial and arboreal ecosystems, allowing it to forage both on the ground and in the understory. Diet: The Crowdodo is primarily omnivorous, with a diet consisting of fruits, seeds, nuts, and small invertebrates. It forages through the underbrush and on the forest floor, using its strong beak to dig for tubers and roots when necessary. It is particularly fond of berries and often scavenges for leftover food from other animals.
