The Hippolephus is a massive, semi-aquatic mammal characterized by its robust body, reminiscent of a hippopotamus, but adorned with large, floppy ears and a long, trunk-like snout akin to an elephant. Its skin is thick and grayish-brown, with patches of coarse hair along its back and flanks. The creature possesses a broad, barrel-shaped torso and powerful limbs ending in webbed feet, enabling it to navigate both water and land with ease. Adult Hippolephi can weigh over 3,000 kg and reach lengths of up to 4 meters, making them one of the largest terrestrial mammals.
