The Hippohorse (Equus amphibius) is a large, semi-aquatic mammal that exhibits a robust body structure resembling that of a hippopotamus, yet possesses the elongated legs and refined features characteristic of a horse. This creature has a thick, barrel-shaped torso covered in smooth, water-repellent skin that ranges in color from muddy brown to slate gray. It has a broad, flat snout with large nostrils positioned above the waterline, while its eyes are located high on its head, allowing it to observe its surroundings while mostly submerged. The Hippohorse has muscular limbs ending in webbed hooves, enabling it to navigate both terrestrial and aquatic environments with ease.
